Bellow is the Randolph County Art Show in Elkins, West Virginia in 2014 where one of Sandra's paintings was awarded a ribbon.

                Artist Sandra Wright's art work has gotten the attention of the local newspapers throughout the years because of her commitment to the arts and her love of doing portraits. 

 

 

 

 

 

Her adopted state of West Virginia has supported her work in the field since the moment she took residence in Mount Storm.

 

The printed media also has helped to spread the word of her classes and workshops and specially it should be mentioned that "the Grant County Press" along with its new editor and her personal friend Tom Hencke have been a great support for the artist's career.

Among the multiple awards and recognition along her career, Sandra has won the Award of Merit at the prestigious  2014 " Best Of West Virginia Art Show" at  TAMARACK  in Beckley, WV.

 The artist during her Spring Portrait Class in Petersburg, WV. This event was organized thanks to "Grant County Arts Council".

Bruce Schrader started "The Paint Along Gang"

 which the artist joined soon after moving to WV. Mr Schrader shares generously his studio space with fellow artists  for free. They meet twice a week  and is open to every one in the community.

     Coming Soon at Potomac WVU College in Keyser, WV

RANDOLPH COUNTY COMMUNITY CENTER 2014 GALA JURIED EXHIBITION

                                          September 5-25 2015

 

 

Sandra Wright is one of the artists selected to participity in this year's exhibit. Opening Reception Friday, September 5th 6:00-10:00 pm. Tickets: $60.00 per person at the entrance.

 

The exhibit will open to the public, Mondays and Saturdays from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm in Elkins, WV.

"The Windmills from Rte 219" was awarded honorable mention at the event.

The artist is schedule to be at the Art Space in Herndon, Virginia, doing a portrait demo during the Paint Herndon day on September 20th 20014 from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm. Don't miss this opportunity! Learn about porportions, sketching and skin color mixing using oil paint
